Beware, you may have trouble sleeping after reading some of the terrifying accounts of ghostly encounters spotted around the city.

This rainy day may have been a chaotic start for Toronto, but for many it was an opportunity to see the beauty through the storm. Quick to post their weather pics online, many Torontonians captured the scenic moments that came from the soggy mess. A number of pedestrian and motorist mishaps on Wednesday morning had the city in a frenzied state, but that didn’t stop many from riding the bus or capturing a still of a rainy Toronto looking out their own windows.

Not everyone’s shedding a tear in the beer over the planned closure of Brunswick House. Some members of the Harbord Village Residents’ Association will be more than ready to move on when the bar’s lease is terminated Dec. 31. A fixture in the community since 1876, the bar was once the place to go, said Tim Grant, chair of the association.
